Spectrum Reading Program in the Classroom This reading program offers the child the opportunity for independent discovery as well as presenting the steps to reading in a beautifully produced and sequential series of exercises. The entire program features full color, realistic illustrations to create excitement and hold interest. The materials are classroom ready, fully laminated, and durable. The teacher is guided by a set of lesson plans that explain the presentation as well as subsequent exercises. The program covers phonetics, phonograms including long vowels, digraphs and dipthongs, as well as puzzle or sight words. There are over 800 cards with words and sentences which offer all of the keys to reading. There are exercises in sound recognition, reading and spelling. The Spectrum Reading Program is designed for individual and small group lessons. The work is at first teacher directed and later designed for self exploration.
